Dame Edna Everage (Barry Humphries) has been a fixture of pop culture for decades, appearing in films, on Broadway and on multiple television serials and talk shows. She is the creation of Australian comic Barry Humprhries. When in the guise of Edna, Humphries denies his own existence, referring instead to him as Edna's entrepreneur or manager. She has also invented a life history including birthplace and lineage completely different than that of Humphries. Humphries is shown with his former wife Diane Millstead below and at bottom left, as a young child, as Dame Edna in the 1960's and with another former wife and children in the 1970's
