This small cabinet card depicts the separation of the Apostles described in Acts during which Barnabus and Saul were called from the church at Antioch to be disciples of God. The genderless angels are typical of their cherubic depiction throughout the history of art. As genderless, they represent the lack of gender specificity of God him/herself.
